Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Tervolia account and what happens to your data. Tervolia is developed by an individual developer.

Delete in the app

The fastest way. The account is deleted immediately.

• Open the Profile tab and tap Settings.
• Open Profile and tap Delete account.
• Confirm the deletion.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email support@tervolia.com from the email address your account is registered with, with the subject "Delete my account". Include your username if you remember it. We will delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: name, username, email, password and avatar.
• All your trips, moments and the photos in them.
• Your friends list and friend requests.
• Your notifications and your visited countries statistics.
• All active sessions: you are signed out on every device.

What is kept

• Chat messages you sent stay in the other person's conversation, so their chat history doesn't break. Your name and photo are removed and you are shown as "Deleted user".
• An anonymized account record with no name, email or password, so those messages stay linked to a sender.
• Database backups may contain your data for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten.
